Barcelona sporting director Deco has hit back at claims that Pep Guardiola revolutionised the club during his four-year tenure as manager. Tottenham Hotspur plan to use Timo Werner on a regular basis once his loan move is confirmed, according to RB Leipzig technical director Mario Gomez. Werner has agreed to join Spurs on an initial loan for the rest of the 2023/24 season, while the deal comes with an optional purchase clause worth between £13m and £17m. Talks between Tottenham, Leipzig and Werner moved quickly last week and the forward is said to have been convinced on the move by Ange Postecoglou.
