PowerWash Simulator Hits PlayStation And Switch January 30
At last year’s Tokyo Game Show, PowerWash Simulator developer FuturLab promised their Game will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch in the near future. That future may be January 30, according to some recent PlayStation posts.
As reported by EuroGamer, the PlayStation Blog originally had an article previewing indie Games that would hit the platform in 2023. They included NeverAwake on January 26, Blackfirewall on January 30, and Season: A letter to the future on January 31. PowerWash Simulator also had a January 30 release date, but we're not completely certain of its veracity as both the PlayStation Blog article and the associated Twitter post were deleted an hour later.
There’s been no word from either FuturLab or publisher Square Enix on social media channels or the Game’s official Discord, so it seems likely this date is either entirely incorrect or not supposed to have been published. Keep an eye on these sources for the true release date.
For those unaware of the strange allure of PowerWash Simulator, the game puts you in control of the owner and operator of a power washing business, scrubbing clean projects ranging from residential houses to a Mars rover. On Mars. The escalating strangeness of the tasks required of the player is part of what keeps the game interesting, but the other part is the simple joy of watching a powerful mechanism so casually remove dirt and grime from a dirty surface.
There’s the business management aspects of the game as well, such as using cash earned to upgrade your power washers for a variety of situations, but the core conceit of PowerWash Simulator is the satisfaction of a job well done.
We’ll have to wait and see if PowerWash Simulator releases on January 30 or not. In the meantime, you can still get the Game on Xbox and PC via Steam.
