1:07 pm ET Parx (Race 2) – My Boy Colton 2/1 (2-star play)

The son of Pioneerof the Nile has shown good form at around this level in the recent past including when beaten two lengths in a similar race to this over a mile-and-seventy-yards here last month. The pick represents a top jockey/trainer combination in that of Ruben Silver and Jamie Ness while he has a good draw here. The five-year-old comes into this contest on the back of a 48.91 four furlong breeze and is taken to break his maiden.  

1:34 pm ET Parx (Race 3) – Esor 5/2 (2-star play)

Trained by Rafael Romero the gelding made all the running when drawing 19 lengths clear of his rivals to break his maiden for the handler when tackling a $10,000 maiden claimer here in February. The six-year-old was unable to dominate prior to finishing a well beaten sixth when racing at this level here last month. The son of Rattlesnake Bridge looks the main pace angle in this field however and is taken to deliver a victory with Sofia Vives up. 

2:01 pm ET Parx (Race 4) – Somebody 9/5 (2-star play)

The veteran performer has shown solid form in three starts since returning from a short break including when drawing seven-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of his seven rivals in taking a similar race to this over course and distance earlier this month. The son of Mineshaft has performed well at a higher level in the past and with Luis D Rivera, on board for the picks two most recent starts up he looks capable of completing a double for trainer Elliott Soto-Martinez.

Rasmus Hojlund teases Man Utd debut with latest injury update

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has given fans hope that his delayed debut following a big money transfer could be coming sooner rather than later. Hojlund completed a move from Atalanta at the start of August that could eventually reached £72m and was presented to the Old Trafford crowd on the pitch ahead of the pre-season win over Lens. But the Dane has yet been able to get on the pitch properly, forced to miss Monday night's 2023/24 season opener against Wolves won with a solitary Raphael Varane header.
